Poverty, hunger, and natural disasters inflict suffering on millions of people around the world and often leave them without shelter, food, clothing, or other basic necessities of life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strives to improve the lives of those in need by providing emergency response, food, clean water, vision care, wheelchairs, and immunizations. The recipients are instructed in managing these provisions so they may become self-reliant. These efforts are improving the lives of individuals and families around the world.
