Sacrament Meeting Bulletin Announcements for the Month of October

Dear Stake President and Bishop,

The following are announcements about upcoming events that may be of interest to your members. If you approve them, would you please give them to your Sacrament meeting bulletin editor to include in your sacrament meeting bulletin on the dates indicated. Also, bishop, would you have them announced in the opening exercises of the appropriate meetings. Thank you.

Announcements for 7 October
Would you like to develop skills for a better income?
The Church Employment Resource Services found out that ITT Technical College offers an open house on the 4th Tuesday of every month. The open house describes courses and financial aid that are available to students. Attendance at the open house is free. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Interested parties may come at any time. ITT Technical is located at 7843 West Prairie Drive. Tell them you heard about the open house from the Church and receive a grant reducing your tuition!

Are you trying to earn some extra money while staying home with children?
The Metropolitan Small Business Development Center has informed our stake employment specialist of an orientation meeting on women and home-based businesses Thursday, 19 October. Contact Sally Allred at 555-2435 to find out more or attend Thursday, 19 October, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at 234 Dwindle Avenue. Tell them you heard about it through the Church.

The Metropolitan Small Business Development Center has informed our stake employment specialist of an orientation meeting on women and home-based businesses this Thursday, 19 October. Contact Sally Allred at 555-2435 to find out more or attend this Thursday, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at 234 Dwindle Avenue. Tell them you heard about it through the Church.

Want to find a new job quickly?
Three local stakes continue to offer a Career Workshop each month on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Learn how to find 2,000 job leads in 20 minutes, impress schools and employers with your accomplishments, and learn 6 ways to get money to attend school. The workshop is offered in the stake center multipurpose room from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Seventy-eight percent of attendees achieve their goals within 4 weeks. So could you!

Announcements for 21 October
Feel in a rut? Would you like a new job?
The stake would like to announce that the State Department of Workforce Development is holding a job fair Wednesday, 7 November. There should be about 200 of the area’s major employers looking for good people. The fair is from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Wilson Convention Center. Admission is free if you tell them you are from the Church.
