LDS Family Services is a resource to ward and stake leaders in their efforts to assist individuals, couples, and families in finding quality professional counseling services. In addition, LDS Family Services provides short-term counseling services to single expectant parents, missionaries, and those experiencing same-gender attraction. Other direct counseling services may be provided by LDS Family Services after a thorough consultation with a member’s bishop.
Assistance includes single expectant parent counseling (marriage, single parenting, adoption), temporal needs assessment, and support services.
LDS Family Services focuses on services that promote the best interests of children and enhances the possibility that children will be placed with adoptive families where they may receive all the blessings of the temple covenant.
